Madeline and I would like to thank you all for a wonderful wedding weekend at Gervasi on Friday. Our experience, and the experience of our families, who stayed in the Farmhouse, the Villas, and The Casa, was beyond our expectations.
As you can imagine, there was a considerable amount of stress leading up to our wedding day given the state of the world. We always knew we were going to get married on Friday, but we didn’t know what it would look like. You all made things so easy. You and your teams were professional, flexible, poised, organized, responsive and, perhaps most importantly, composed. It made our lives and our decision to move forward so much easier.
A particular shout-out to our coordinator, Kristine, who is a dynamo and who handled all of our questions and the twists and turns of shifting COVID orders with the utmost professionalism and grace. Pam, Lydia, and the sales team were fantastic at addressing our complex questions related to our myriad reservations. Kendyll didn’t miss a beat when she stepped in for Kristine and Kristine didn’t miss a beat when she came back (the handoffs were flawless). And Frank … his kindness and patience on Wednesday night putting together a tricky reservation puzzle was much appreciated and got our stay off on the right foot. Nobody ever seemed stressed. Everyone wanted to help us. All did it with smiles on their faces. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Our family works in the service industry. When we go out to dinner or to a hotel with the family, it can (annoyingly) feel like we are going out with the restaurant critic for the New York Times. All of our family was there this weekend and they all had nothing but glowing reviews for the Gervasi team and their 5-star service (and the food!). Even the staff serving the pizza at the end of the night were fantastic, they were having fun, grooving a bit to the band, excited to be there. Where do you ever see that? Not in Chicago or DC, where we live …
