GV Destinations Gives Back

Gervasi Vineyard and The Twisted Olive strive make a difference by helping others and giving back to our local community. Each year our venues work in collaboration and partnership to donate and support the United Way of Greater Stark County. The United Way supports local organizations and focuses on health, education and financial stability as the building blocks to a better life.  For the 2024 fundraising campaign, employees of GV Destinations participated in a 7-week campaign and were able to make a difference in many lives of those in our community.  The staff donated and fundraised over $28,000 in cash to be donated directly to the United Way of Greater Stark County for the 2024 campaign. These funds will directly assist those in need in our home town.

The donation and fundraising campaign for GV Destinations included:

  • Caring for Community: Team members donated children’s clothing items for families in need.
  • Monetary Donations: Teams at each of the restaurants and venues competed in “Penny Wars” and purchased coffee for co-workers as a fun way to raise money to be donated to the United Way.
  • The Employee Pledge Card Campaign: Many employees donated a specific dollar amount to be allocated from each paycheck throughout the year. This was the largest driver to raise monetary donations.

GV Destinations has supported and donated to the United Way of Greater Stark County’s annual campaign in many ways since opening in 2010.
