The lights and magic of Christmas at Gervasi Vineyard Resort & Spa (GV) will be on full display starting mid-November through January 8. It is a top priority every year at GV to inspire a joyous Christmas spirit for all who visit over the holidays.
The decorating and design teams have outdone themselves this year with a sleigh full of new decorations, incorporating more reds and greens and a life-size Santa Claus inside The Cave. Guests will be enchanted from the moment they turn into the famous GV entrance lane.
While the Christmas lights and many displays will certainly ignite Christmas spirit for all, the many family holiday events, and of course the wines, the spirits and the dining experiences at GV are sure to make the holidays extraordinary.
“Holidays are very important to Gervasi Vineyard,” said Andrea Hartman, marketing director. “The property has become a tradition for many to come and visit, take pictures and enjoy the holiday offerings.”
Sleighing the Holiday Spirit at GV
What’s new in 2023 for the holiday décor? Starting with this year’s theme which is “Sleigh the Holidays with Gervasi Vineyard”.
There are many new decorations around the property including The Villa Grande which will have more traditional colors such as candy cane reds.
“The colors will really pop this year with the Villa Grande remodel. Also, The Cave and The Spa, our newest outlets on the property, will have holiday décor including a life-size Santa holding a Christmas tree. There will also be new light-up packages by the Barrel Wall. Millions of lights are used throughout GV each year to bring the holiday spirit alive,” said Andrea.
Plus, there will be seven Christmas trees in full décor around Gervasi. Each venue will also have its own set of holiday decorations.
The Design Team
General Manager Scott Swaldo and Marketplace Retail Buyer Christi Blackerby lead the team in the holiday decorating. Dee, Gervasi’s decorator, meets with Scott and Christi to map out each outlet and how the decorations should look at each.
Once all of the colors, lights, ornaments, wreaths and layouts are determined, it takes an entire week to get everything decorated for the holiday season.
It is a mission filled with joy, love and appreciation for all who love to experience GV over the holiday season.
Santa and The Grinch Sleigh their way to The Bistro
Additionally, GV offers many holiday events such as holiday lunches when Santa and the Grinch sleigh their way to GV and visit with guests at The Bistro.
These are always extremely popular so it is best to make a reservation as quickly as possible.
