Finding fun and interesting ways to enjoy the time during the last few weeks of summer can be a challenge. Tasting the many award-winning wines and touring the winery or The Cave at Gervasi Vineyard Resort & Spa (GV) are just a few of the great ways to enjoy the lazy last days of this favorite season or the refreshing early months of fall.

GV has a variety of tasting opportunities that spotlight their wines, spirits, and uniquely delightful cocktails. In addition, there are many other unique tasting experiences visitors will find at GV, such as the always popular food and wine pairings. Guests can also opt to meet the distiller and tour the distillery. There is plenty of time left in summer to do all those things and more.

Cucina Demo Classes

Learn Secrets of the Chef

You know how the wine and spirits are produced at Gervasi. You also know some food and wine paring options. It’s time to learn more about the food. So as summer winds down and you start looking for fun experiences for the fall, keep in mind that a new season starts in November at The Cucina Culinary Education Center and the class schedule will be announced in September.

The Cucina at Gervasi Vineyard offers fun and inspiring educational experiences marked by delicious food and memorable wines. Demonstration cooking classes in The Villa Grande will be led by Meg Feller, owner of Lemon Leaf Catering. Study her technique as she prepares a menu of enticing dishes during this enhanced dining event. Enjoy a generous portion of each course, accompanied by a glass of wine (a cash bar with wine and beer also available). You won’t go home hungry after these delectable demos! You’ll also receive a recipe packet to help you recreate your Cucina experience at home.

DEMONSTRATION CLASS FORMAT:  Guests will be seated classroom-style in our Villa Grande Ballroom.  The Chef Instructor will show you how to prepare the foods listed on the menu in front of the class with a supporting video feed.

The instructor pauses after each course allowing for questions and interaction while the menu item is served to all guests.  While there is no hands-on component to the experience, the food is exceptional and the learning is valuable.
